CheckoutKindergarten - Students check out one book during library at the start of the year. After students learn checkout routines, they begin checking out additional books.
Grades 1-6 - Students may check out as many books as needed for reading at school and at home. Students are encouraged to get at least one book that they can read independently. Renewing BooksStudents may renew a book one time. Books that have a waiting list and Children's Choice books do not renew.
Lost or Damaged BooksIf a student loses or damages a book they are responsible for buying a replacement copy for the library.

OverduesAll books are stamped inside the cover with a "date due". Students who have overdue books may continue to checkout and take home books.
Reminder emails are sent to parents two days before books are due, and daily for all overdue books. Books may be returned any time to the library. If your student can not find their overdue book, please let Mrs. Nelson know you are looking for it, so it can be marked as "missing" in our system. We do not charge fees for overdue books. Questions?
If you have any questions about these policies, please email Mrs. Nelson.
